Summer Camp

The Central Pine Barrens Commission and the US Fish and Wildlife Service at Wertheim Wildlife Refuge host a 6-week summer environmental education program. Participants enjoy a variety of activities including interactions with wildlife, conducting ecological studies, hiking on Refuge property, exploring a variety of habitats and playing nature games. With access to forests, meadows, marshes, river fronts, and grasslands, participants experience the wonders and diversity of nature in the Pine Barrens and on Long Island and gain a greater understanding of and respect for the natural world.

To register for the summer camp, download the registration form, fill it out, and return it with payment to the Central Pine Barrens Commission.
